Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, might be born royals, but this mom knows that kids will be kids. According to a source close to the Princess of Wales, Kate reportedly doesn’t worry about her kids’ behavior at public royal events — even when Louis is at his cheekiest — no matter how important the occasion might be. If only all moms could achieve this level of chill!
Kate’s children are known for showing their silly sides.
During the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Prince Louis totally stole the show with his antics. Making silly faces, ignoring his mom’s directions — it’s all par for the course when it comes to the youngest royal kiddo.
But regardless of how he and his older siblings, George and Charlotte, behave while in the spotlight, Kate’s not one to sweat it.
Louis didn’t attempt to conceal his cheeky side during Trooping the Colour last month, either.
All eyes were on Louis during Trooping the Colour this year, and once again, he did not disappoint. He was spotted dancing to the bagpipes on the Buckingham Palace balcony — this kid’s got some moves!
And according to what a royal source told OK! Magazine, this is exactly what Kate expected to happen.
Not only does Kate understand her kids are going to be kids, but she also embraces it.
“Louis is an energetic child and clearly was unable to contain his excitement at being at a public event,” the insider said. “Kate doesn’t worry about their behavior too much. She loves to see them being kids.”
And so do the rest of us!
Kate also knows she’s got backup in the form of her daughter.
As we’ve seen on several occasions, she’s right to rely on 9-year-old Charlotte, who the insider describes as a “doting big sister.”
“She keeps Louis in line when needed,” the source added. “She’s very proper about these things.”
The royals have been through a lot this year.
With both King Charles and Kate facing their own cancer diagnoses, there’s no doubt that this year has been a tough one for the royal family. But after seeing them both at Trooping the Colour just weeks ago, it seems as if they’re both doing well, and hopefully, they both only get healthier and stronger from here.
After all, someone has to wrangle those kids!
