Stray Kitten with adorable Yoda Ears is very happy to finally feel loved

A young cat was brought into a veterinary clinic and immediately stole everyone’s heart.

Earlier this month, a kitty was brought to a local rescue in Rowan County, North Carolina after she was rescued as a stray. She was found with a neck wound and an upper respiratory infection.

The friendly stray with a pair of Yoda-like ears was taken to Cabarrus Animal Hospital for treatment. Right away, she melted the hearts of all the staff there.

“She is being treated by Dr. Alisha Kidwell, DVM. She is a sweet girl that is very affectionate,” Jana Aviles, a veterinary assistant at the hospital, told Love Meow.

The kitty weighs around 6.5 pounds. She’s tiny but full of adorable quirks.

She is missing her incisors according to Shelby Beers, a veterinary technician, and often sticks out her tongue, but that only adds to her cuteness.

“They aren’t sure about her (exact) age. She is young, maybe around a year old. She’s very small for an adult cat,” Shelby told.

“She’s healing well and is resting comfortably with lots of love from the staff here.”

The sweet kitty has proven to be quite the love-bug. She is eager to be cuddled and enjoys hanging out with her human friends.

“We carry her around in our hoodies like a baby kangaroo, and she just falls asleep,” Shelby said.

The kitty doesn’t have an official name, but staff at the clinic have been lovingly referring to her as the “Yoda cat” — she has the cutest helicopter ears, which resemble those of Baby Yoda.

“She’s quiet and shy but melts in your hands when you start petting her. She is just a petite little cuddle-bug, a lap cat,” Shelby told.

The precious little kitty is currently at the animal hospital where she’s getting the best care to help her recuperate.

“There are 70 million stray cats just in the US. Four million cats are brought into animal control facilities each year,” Jana wrote.

This sweet kitty is one of the lucky ones.

No more worries about food and shelter, the Yoda cat is on her way to an exciting future ahead of her.
