Viral footage shows a one-year-old Munchkin cat, known for its short legs, quietly lying inside a desk and glancing around, seemingly attempting to hide from a lecturer in China.
A university student from Xi’an, a city in north-western China, shared that she was preparing for class on Friday morning when her pet, Ba Dun, started curling up to her.
“Ba Dun kept cuddling up to my leg and looking really sad because he wanted me to stay with him,” Ms. Wen told MailOnline.
“But I was running late for my class. I couldn’t bear letting him down so I brought him with me to the classroom,” she added.
After placing Ba Dun inside her desk, Ms. Wen recorded the endearing moment as the Munchkin cat lay quietly, seemingly trying his best to stay unnoticed.
“He was being really good and didn’t make any sounds,” said the owner.
Ba Dun, whose name loosely translates to “eight meals,” earned this unusual name due to his big appetite, according to Ms. Wen.
“He could definitely eat eight meals every day if I let him.”
