Celebrities attempting to fight the aging process via fad-diets, insane weight-loss regimes, or plastic surgery is nothing new. It’s just these days it’s become a whole lot harder for them to hide.
Given how quickly pictures spread around the world – thanks in no small part to the internet – fans can be informed about their favorite star’s new hair or altered figure literally minutes after the look in question is debuted.
And despite the societal shift to always being kind to others and not saying anything unless we have something kind to say, there are always people ready to flex their negative opinions online.
This is probably something Sandra Bullock knows only too well. The iconic actress has been a heavyweight in the entertainment industry for decades now, and as such she’s well versed in the pros and cons of celebrity lifestyle.
That’s just as well, since it seems like people can’t help but comment on her looks. Now, 60 years old, the Miss Congeniality star drew plenty of comments after an appearance she made as part of the celebrations for TV host Hoda Kotb’s 60th birthday.
Bullock appeared in a video segment on Today with Hoda and Jenna wearing a chic black outfit, and delivered an emotional message to Hoda.
“Hoda, Hoda, Hoda, Hoda. I had so many brilliant and funny things prepared for you, for this message…but you know, girl, I’m just too tired!” Bullock began.
“Tired because I had to make my way up that mountain before you got there so I could check out the terrain and see what things look like and get the feel so I could fill you in.”
She added: “It’s weird, because people seem to want us to be afraid of what it might look like when we get there. It turns out it’s pretty damn great, it’s pretty awesome.”
The superstar actress’s message certainly did the job of warming harts on social media, but it also provoked a host of mixed messages from social media users.
“Sandra, your hair looks terrific—I’ve never seen it like that; it looks great!” one person wrote.
Another added: “I am mind blown that Sandra is 60!!”
“A highly paid facelift and well-planted Botox = Beautiful results,” one, more critical, individual wrote.
“Too much Botox in her upper lip,” added another.
I don’t know about, but I think Sandra Bullock looks wonderful for her age. Let us know thoughts in the comments box.
