A wish list written by an Oklahoma foster kid

Dreamcatchers for Abused Children, an organization that the police contacted after their intervention, found a new and loving home for the child.

When the organization finally located the right family and told the youngster the good news, he compiled a wish list of everything he could possibly desire for his future home.

It goes without saying that the list won over a lot of people. The majority of the items on the list are necessities, thus many people felt the need to point out that children shouldn’t have aspirations for them.

All of them are here:

In my family, the things I want most are food and water.
Stay away from me.
A home with water flowing through it and electricity.
Love is what I hunger for.
Parents do not argue.
Do not give me medications.
I beg you, spare my dogs.
Some academic assistance.
Impeccably clean garments.
There are no lice. No pests in the home.
Dust and vacuum.
Use covers to clean the bed.
I don’t want my toys sold.
Handled fairly.
Refrain from imbibing.
Television in the home.
My school supplies belong to me.
Those shoes are quite cool.
Personal comb soap. Great home with a secure environment and a warm coat.
I need a toothbrush.

We must always be grateful for what we have, and this list serves as a constant reminder of that.
