The Duke of Sussex made a solo visit without his wife to attend the Grey Cup in Vancouver to promote his upcoming Invictus Games.
Meghan Markle did not join her husband, Prince Harry, in Canada this weekend as he attended the Grey Cup in Vancouver to promote the much-anticipated, Invictus Games 2025.
Harry’s TV appearance comes just days after the Duchess of Sussex enjoyed a night out in Los Angeles to support female businesswoman, Kadi Lee and the launch of her new haircare line for the brand, Highbrow Hippie.
The royal duo have made several solo appearances since their Colombia trip in August, with speculation arising that the couple are now splitting their business interests.
A source previously told HELLO! Magazine the long-term plan was for the couple to work on individual projects: “Harry and Meghan have consistently pursued solo ventures in connection with their individual interests, but remain deeply committed to their joint efforts through Archewell.
“Together they have exciting projects in the pipeline, all driving forward their shared mission for positive global impact.”
Dressed in an all-black strapless ensemble, the Duchess and co-founder of the business also posed alongside hairstylist Serge Normant, who famously styled the Duchess’s signature messy-look updo for her wedding day on May 19, 2018.
Speaking about her investment in the company Highbrow Hippie, the Duchess of Sussex previously told Instyle: “I am so proud to invest in [Kadi] as a friend and as a female founder. Kadi has a mastery of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is a perfect reflection of that.”
Prince Harry attended the 2024 Grey Cup ahead of the game between Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He gave an interview to The Sports Network and was snapped on the pitch waving to the crowds before he left.
During his interview, Harry said that it was his first time attending the cup, adding: “Really looking forward to the game getting started. Let’s go!”
Harry is in Canada to promote his passion project, the Invictus Games, which will take place in Vancouver and Whistler in February andwill be the first time that the event will feature winter sports.
Prince Harry and Meghan were last in Whistler together when they promoted the ‘One Year to Go’ event ahead of the Winter Games. The couple spent time chatting with trainees in the sunshine, asking them thoughtful questions about what sports they were most enjoying ahead of the competition.
Harry founded the Games in 2014 as an opportunity for sick and injured military veterans, who expressed just how much being part of the community means to them.
While Prince Harry is on a countdown to the next Invictus Games tournament, Meghan is preparing to launch her long-awaited lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.
The Duchess of Sussex has also been working on her Netflix series which combines the joy of cooking with friendship and entertaining – set to be released next year.
